Miles Bergsma is an award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles whose music combines traditional orchestral film scoring with modern electronic sound design, all driven by a distinctive guitar-forward voice. Miles' work has been featured in films and television series including NCIS (CBS), NCIS: New Orleans (CBS), Nicholas Sparks' Safe Haven (Relativity), Katy Perry: Part of Me (Paramount), and dozens of TV movies for the Hallmark, Lifetime, and Discovery Networks. He has also collaborated with esteemed composers such as Lawrence Shragge, Brian Kirk, Deborah Lurie, Timothy Stuart Jones, and Danny Elfman.
Miles draws on his experience as a session guitarist to craft unique and grounded textures in his scores. Outside of film composing, he also currently serves as the music editor for the series NCIS (CBS) and remains active in the concert music space. His most recent orchestral piece Letter to Janne was recently performed by the Lexington Symphony in July 2025 as part of their inaugural Phoenix Project.
